Everything will disappear, but in some way, we all leave traces of our existence on this world. I consider it a gift or a memento that we leave for this world.
During my childhood, my friends and I would collect seashells and make bracelets out of them. Inside the shells were traces of the snails that once existed.
So where is the trace of my existence? What will I leave behind when I'm gone? Will someone collect the traces of my existence and treasure them as precious keepsakes?
I see the works I create as my traces. Each handmade mark on my work is a record of this moment, a testament to my current self.
